christopher Burns, ceo

Christopher Burns is Chief Executve Ofcer of First Atlantc Commerce. He joined FAC in 2004 and was appointed CEO in September, 2011. Christopher has extensive experience in internatonal, ofshore and domestc card payments systems and ecommerce acquiring. Prior to the post of CEO, Christopher served as SVP of Business Development at FAC, where he was responsible for all aspects of client relatonship management, bank acquirer relatonships and strategic partnerships. He holds a BA (hons) degree in Business Management and worked in the UK for many years before returning to Bermuda.

Ronnie Viera, coo

Ronnie Viera has spent more than a decade heading up Informaton Technology departments in three diferent companies including The Argus Group, a Bermuda insurance company; Capital G Bank Limited, a Bermuda-based bank; and from 2000-2004, First Atlantc Commerce. He has over 30 years of experience in IT and Operatons. Ronnie is a Certfed Informaton Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certfed Informaton Security Manager (CISM) and a
Certfed Informaton Systems Auditor (CISA). He also has experience across various industries including Banking, Insurance and E-Commerce. Prior to his post as COO, Ronnie was SVP of Informaton Technology & Operatons.

corinne leite, CFO

Corinne Leite has a Bachelor of Business Administraton degree from Simon Fraser University in Britsh Columbia, Canada and is a member of the Canadian Insttute of Chartered Accountants. She has over 15 years of experience as a senior fnance executve across a variety of industries, both public and private. Most recently, she has provided senior executve consultng services to a breadth of Bermuda based companies. Corinne is responsible for the
fnance team as well as the corporate administraton of the company

Tricia Lines Hill, Senior Vice President

Business Development & Marketng Communicatons

Tricia Lines Hill has 20 years of experience in global marketng, corporate communicatons and business development. She has worked as a publisher, journalist and editor for newspapers, global trade magazines, real estate journals and internatonal business newsleters. She is currently director and principal of a Bermuda-based publishing company and director of a Bermuda-based retail operaton. She has also served as director of a Bermuda based ISP as well as a Bermuda-based corporate services company. Tricia holds a BA from Guelph University in Canada and a Master’s degree in Internatonal Business from Webster University in the US. Tricia is responsible for merchant acquisiton and client relatonship management as well as FAC’s marketng and strategic communicaton eforts.

TRANSACTION REQUEST

Cardholder places order and enters credit card details.
Merchant submits purchase details
over secure connecton to FAC
gateway.
FAC formats data and sends to the
appropriate processor.
Acquiring bank processor submits
authorisaton request to credit card
network (like Visa or MasterCard).
The credit card network then routes
to the issuer (the bank that issued
the credit card to the customer).

TRANSACTION RESPONSE

Issuing bank responds with an approval (and auth code) or decline.
The processor responds to FAC with
the response.
FAC updates its systems and returns
the message to the merchant.
The merchant provides a real tme
response to the cardholder

TRANSACTION CLEARING

FAC submits the daily setlement fle to the processor

Pre-Authentication Services

Our Address Verifcaton Services (AVS) and Card ID Verifcaton are available as part of our payment processing services, or as a standalone soluton in conjuncton with a merchant’s existng payment gateway solutons.

Payer authentication — Verified by Visa and mastercard® securecode™

Merchants around the world are able to protect themselves from fraudulent transactons, chargebacks and unauthorized payments with our cGate®SecureVerify soluton, which is based on the Card Associatons’ 3-D Secure™ technology.

Transacton Screening Services

FAC provides merchants with various risk tools including Bin Blocking, Card Blocking, Transacton Data Monitoring, Manual Purchase History Reviews, Transacton Value Caps and Volume Limits.

FAC also works with a third party risk scoring system that provides maximum protecton for some of the world’s best known companies. Hundreds of variables are analyzed to give the merchant a clear picture of the risk associated with each transacton.

Pre-authentcaton Services

north American Address Verifcaton Services (AVS) and Card ID Verifcaton (CVC), including CVV2 for Visa, CVC2 for MasterCard, and CID for American Express, can be ofered to merchants to help maximize sales as part of their order screening process. These solutons help to screen fraudsters and validate online credit cards.

3-d secure™ services

Our 3-D Secure™ soluton, cGate®SecureVerify, is available to any acquiring bank (and their merchants), in any geographic locaton, as long as the acquiring bank has signed the Enrolment Agreement with Visa and MasterCard for the services. FAC’s payer authentcaton solutons are available as either a standalone 3-D Secure™ service (3-D Secure™ only) or with payment authorisaton/gateway services.

Payment Gateway services

We have developed an in-house unique host translaton module, designed by our teams to facilitate a speedy and seamless integraton of our secure payment platorms into an acquiring bank’s processing platorm.

Our powerful, scalable, payment gateway facilitates mult-currency processing, and a range of check out optons for your merchants to ofer on their web sites, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Our technology enables Internet merchants to pre-authorise, capture, reverse and refund transactons via our payment gateway in real-tme, batch or manually, using our Virtual Terminal soluton.

It also provides acquiring banks, and their merchants, with real-tme web reportng, via a secure login, to view all transactons sent through our platorm.
