Real-time, online payment gateway expands into Canada together with Bluefin’s PCI validated P2PE solution, through its Virtual Terminal product for Call Centers
Hamilton, Bermuda and Atlanta, Georgia – May 8, 2018. First Atlantic Commerce (FAC), a global online payment gateway and payment solutions provider, is now available in Canada to online Canadian merchants.
FAC is a Bermuda-based, feature-rich payment gateway that delivers customized and flexible online credit and debit card processing to businesses in the Latin American Caribbean Region including the Caribbean and Central America, Europe, the US, Mauritius and now, Canada.
In addition to FAC’s feature rich payment platform, FAC can provide merchants with PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solutions through its Virtual Terminal via its partner, Bluefin Payment Systems.
Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE solution secures credit and debit card transactions by encrypting data Interaction within a PCI-approved point of entry device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant’s system where it could be exposed to malware. Data decryption is only done offsite in a Bluefin hardware security module (HSM).
FAC’s P2PE call center solution utilizes the PCI approved P2PE ID Tech SREDKey, enabling back office administrators to securely key enter Mail Order Telephone Order (MOTO) payments through its Virtual Terminal.
PCI P2PE certified devices are more secure and designed to detect tampering. If malicious activity is detected, the device is automatically deactivated, preventing a breach at the point of entry. PCI P2PE includes a built in chain of custody process for managing PCI P2PE certified devices.
