First Atlantic Commerce raises money for charity and wins Team Spirit Award
FAC employees and friends bike the Catlin EndtoEnd, a Bermuda fund raising event
Hamilton, Bermuda, August 11, 2010. First Atlantic Commerce (FAC), a Bermudabased, online multicurrency payment gateway, was recently awarded the Team Spirit Award for the second year running after participating in the annual Catlin EndtoEnd charity fund raising event held in May of this year.
A FAC team of 19 employees and friends biked across the island to raise money for the Bermuda EndtoEnd Charitable Trust. Spearheaded by SVP, Business Development, Chris Burns, and in keeping on trend over the last two years of dressing up in silly costumes in an effort to collect more pledges, the FAC team sported Ballerina attire as they biked the 24.1 mile course.
The Catlin EndtoEnd, which was supported by numerous local sponsors and more than 2500 individual participants, who walked, ran or biked the course, raised a total of $335,000 for 10 local charities across the island. FAC contributed $21,517, placing them as top team fund raiser for the event.
