Trinidad and Tobago Immigration Division launch e-Payment Portal

First Atlantic Commerce processes all credit card transactions for The Immigration Division of Trinidad and Tobago’s new e-Payment Portal

Trinidad and Tobago and Bermuda. May 8, 2024 The Ministry of National Security – Immigration Division of Trinidad and Tobago has launched its e-Payment Portal for e-visa and Student Permit applications. This solution brings the power and convenience of online applications and payments to its customers with additional capabilities to allow for the following:

  • Payment is made through an online mechanism (using a credit card).
  • Acknowledgment of the Visa application in real-time.
  • Ability to track the application status.
  • The online issuance of e-visas and e-student Permits.

Launching the platform with these two services marks the beginning of the Division’s tangible commitment to ensuring greater ease of doing business for the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, its diaspora, and global customers.

The new e-Payment Portal took effect in March, 2024, to allow persons applying for Student Permits and Visas for entry into Trinidad and Tobago.

As a longstanding partner of the Immigration Division of Trinidad and Tobago, First Atlantic Commerce (FAC) Team Lead—Customer Success Vivian Curtis commended the development, saying, “We are excited to be working with Trinidad and Tobago’s Immigration Division. This development combines the Immigration Division’s leadership in digitalisation and commerce with our payments’ expertise and goal of driving fintech.”

Chief Executive Office of the Trinidad and Tobago International Financial Centre (TTIFC), John Outridge, further stated, “TTIFC applauds the Immigration Division on the launch of their e-Portal. This innovative solution aligns perfectly with TTIFC’s vision of fostering a technologically advanced and efficient business environment. We are confident this initiative will enhance the customer experience and contribute to a more streamlined immigration process.”
